Regina W. Smith, D.O.

Dr. Regina W. Smith grew up in Massachusetts where she met her husband, a native of Carlisle, PA. She attended medical school at the Ohio University College of Osteopathic Medicine in Athens, Ohio and did her Internal Medicine residency in Warren, Ohio. She is board certified in Internal Medicine. 

Dr. Smith has courtesy privileges at Carlisle Regional Medical Center. She practiced in Altoona, PA for 10 years and then moved to Carlisle PA to be closer to her husband’s family. She has 2 sons and enjoys outdoor activities, gardening, and country living.

Dr. Smith specializes in internal medicine, which involves comprehensive adult medicine. She has special interests in plant-based nutrition, functional medicine and osteopathic manipulation. Her goal is to help the body heal itself and maintain wellness through proper diet, exercise, and healthy living. She has experience in providing comprehensive primary care, including chronic disease management, pap smears and women’s health, joint injections, and minor skin surgery.
